Welcome to Gift Planning
At First Lutheran, all donations of time, treasures, and talents are appreciated. There are many places to donate and we appreciate your consideration. We accept monetary donations for many things happening in the church, so if there is something you would like to specify about your gift, please let us know so that we may accommodate your wishes.

Making a planned gift allows you to show your support and appreciate of First Lutheran Church and its mission while accommodating your own personal, financial, estate-planning, legacy giving and philanthropic goals.
With careful planning, you may actually be able to increase the size of your estate and/or reduce the tax burden on your heirs. Just as important, you will know that you have made a meaningful contribution to First Lutheran Church. As you have loved your church family at First Lutheran Church, so too love them with a legacy gift when your time here is fulfilled.

The Endowment Fund
The Endowment Fund is conservatively invested and designed to produce interest both to grow the fund and to make available grants for the mission of First Lutheran Church.
Your gift to the Endowment Fund helps build the future of the ministry of the congregation in perpetuity.
FIRST Building Fund/ Restoring Our Future
The Restoring for the Future fund is a fund that we can restore the Sanctuary from hurricane and storm damage. Each dollar raised in this appeal will be matched up to $100,000- so every dollar counts!
You may make a single donation or spread your donation over a year as a pledge towards this appeal. Donations of appreciated stock or other assets may be discussed as options for your donation.
Please contact the Church Office or visit the information station in the Narthex to pledge or make a donation to this fund.
The General Fund
The General fund serves to fund the current ministry needs of the congregation helping in the immediate moment to assure ministry is accomplished.
Island Oktoberfest
Oktoberfest is FLC's annual fundraiser. The streets close, the smell of pretzels fills the air, and good times are had right in front of our historic church.
FLC has German roots and a donation to help this event happen directly impacts the church throughout the year.
Special Appeal
The special appeal fund is for special things such as liturgical robes, books for the library, and other items that we may need for the mission of the church.
Offering
Weekly offering helps the church run and spread our message of God's love. We collect offering at Sunday Worship, but there are many ways to donate (see below).
Other
There are other areas in the church needing financial assistance such as:
- Altar flowers
- The Massai girls in Tanzania (FLC Partnership)
- Youth ministry
- and more!
