With baptism of water and the Holy Word, God gives us what everyone needs: an identity. Baptism is not just a symbol or neat looking activity, it is a Beginning. We forever become a child born of God. The holy spirit is poured into our hearts and becomes our lifelong companion as we experience grace, love, mercy, and forgiveness. We are called to be true to our identity, and to live out a life that reflects everything that His Son Jesus taught us. Do we really live that way?
